The ideal candidate will oversee financial operations, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and provide strategic insights to support business decisions. Person should have a good knowledge of New Zealand taxation and laws. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with New Zealand accounting standards. - Manage month-end and year-end closing processes. - Conduct financial forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis. - Mentor and guide junior accounting staff. - Develop and implement internal controls and accounting policies. - Provide strategic financial advice to management. Qualifications and Skills: - Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. - Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles. - Strong knowledge of New Zealand tax laws and accounting standards. - Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB) and MS Excel. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. - Strong communication and leadership abilities.
