- Job Description: Virtual CFO Company: Vjaitra Air Mobility Location: Remote Type: Part-Time / Contract About Vjaitra Air Mobility: Vjaitra Air Mobility is an innovative aerospace company at the forefront of urban air mobility and drone technology. We are currently developing a next-generation 5-seater hydrogen air taxi and advanced agriculture drones, supported by our mission to promote sustainable fuel technologies. As part of our expansion, we are looking for a highly skilled Virtual CFO to join our leadership team and help us navigate the financial complexities of our growing business. Position Overview: The Virtual CFO will play a critical role in shaping the financial strategy and operations of Vjaitra Air Mobility. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a strong background in finance, particularly within the aerospace, aviation, or technology sectors. You will work closely with the CEO and the executive team to drive financial performance, manage fundraising efforts, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities: 1. Financial Strategy & Planning: - Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the companys goals and objectives. - Provide financial insights and recommendations to support decision-making processes. - Lead the financial planning and analysis (FP&A) activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning. 2. Fundraising & Investor Relations: - Manage fundraising efforts, including equity and debt financing, and build strong relationships with investors. - Prepare and present financial reports to potential investors, partners, and stakeholders. - Oversee the management of capital structure and liquidity to support business growth. 3. Financial Operations: - Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements in compliance with GAAP/IFRS. - Implement and maintain financial controls and processes to mitigate risk. 4. Regulatory Compliance: - Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards, including tax filings and audits. - Liaise with external auditors, legal counsel, and regulatory bodies as required. 5. Business Performance Management: - Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying key metrics to measure business performance. - Provide strategic recommendations to enhance profitability, reduce costs, and optimize resource allocation. 6. Team Leadership & Development: - Lead and mentor a remote finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. - Ensure the team is equipped with the necessary tools and knowledge to perform their roles effectively. Qualifications: - Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CA/MBA or CPA preferred. - Minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior finance role, with at least 5 years in the aerospace, aviation, or technology sectors. - Proven experience in fundraising, investor relations, and capital management. - Strong knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards (GAAP/IFRS). - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset. - Proficient in financial software and tools, with experience in remote collaboration. - Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a virtual environment.
