- Job Description Job Title: MEP Engineer (Mechanical and Electrical) for MEDICAL SERVICES For MK Group Job Location- Chandigarh Experience: 5-7 years Salary- No bar for suitable Candidate Job brief: The incumbent is required to Perform Mechanical-Electrical-Plumbing (MEP) Designs in compliance with the relevant codes, standards and guidelines for all projects being executed or managed by the Construction Company Limited. Major Duties & Job responsibilities: MEP Engineer is responsible for reviewing plans and specifications as per the projects requirements. MEP Engineer is accountable for managing to oversee the work of subordinate staff. Prepare Tender & Construction Drawings along with Engineering Design Plans Prepare Bill of Quantities (BoQs) Engineer should prepare plans along with the specified and estimated cost of plumbing, heating, ventilating, air conditioning, rooting of pipeline and general piping system Prepare a submit reports, memoranda, committee notes, tender evaluation reports, monthly reports and all other required correspondence. MEP Design Engineer has to manage the day-to-day work of the MEP team. Take part in risk workshops and report any risks associated with MEP installations or general projects to the Project Director. MEP Engineers must prepare technical clarifications to suit on-site construction and coordination issues. MEP Engineer has to monitor safety and health on the site. Record and report any breaches to the Project Manager. MEP Engineer has the right to stop the construction work if he notices any unsafe practices are being followed. Maintain an ongoing list of mechanical service defects for the contractors remedial action. Undertake final project snagging and prepare a list of defects for the contractors action. As required, prepare draft site/engineers instructions for the mechanical building services and issue them to the Project Manager. Provide advice to the Project Director regarding any mechanical services related to variable costs that the Contractor may claim during the works. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: Mechanical or Electrical University degree in Engineering. Working knowledge of plans, prints, specifications, and schematics associated with trade. Construction procedures and practices. Computer literate. Minimum (5) years in a similar position Equivalent combination of training and experience.
