Position Overview We are seeking an experienced AI Engineer with specific expertise in mental health and healthcare technology applications. The ideal candidate will lead the development and implementation of AI models that power our mental health platforms, ensuring they deliver clinically sound, ethically responsible, and user-centered solutions. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and deploy sophisticated machine learning and deep learning models specific to mental health applications Lead the development of natural language processing systems for understanding emotional and psychological contexts Create predictive models for early detection and intervention of mental health concerns Collaborate with clinical experts to ensure AI solutions align with best practices in mental healthcare Optimize existing algorithms to improve accuracy, efficiency, and scalability Develop and implement data privacy and security protocols specific to sensitive health information Lead technical discussions with stakeholders to gather requirements and communicate technical constraints Mentor junior AI engineers and data scientists Stay current with emerging research in AI applications for mental health Contribute to the development of ethical frameworks for AI in healthcare settings Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, or related field (Master's or PhD preferred) 5-6 years of professional experience in AI/ML engineering roles, with at least 3 years specifically in mental health or healthcare technology Demonstrated experience building and deploying healthcare AI solutions in production environments Expert knowledge of machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn) Strong experience with NLP techniques and emotional sentiment analysis Proficiency in Python and related data science libraries Experience with healthcare data standards and regulations (HIPAA, GDPR, etc.) Understanding of clinical mental health concepts and terminology Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders Preferred Qualifications Experience with multimodal AI systems incorporating text, audio, and physiological data Knowledge of digital phenotyping and passive sensing approaches for mental health Experience with federated learning or other privacy-preserving ML techniques Familiarity with psychological assessment tools and measurement Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems and healthcare data integration Publication record in mental health technology or related fields Experience in an FDA-regulated environment or with digital therapeutics What We Offer Opportunity to work on meaningful AI applications that directly improve mental healthcare Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package Flexible remote work options Continuous learning and professional development opportunities Collaborative, innovative team environment Opportunity to shape the future of AI applications in mental healthcare Location Flexible/Remote with occasional in-person meetings at our headquarters How to Apply Please submit your resume, a cover letter highlighting your relevant experience in mental health AI, and any relevant portfolio items or publications to hidden_email with the subject line "AI Engineer - Mental Health".
