- Job Description The Department of Collections, Management and Research at DAG is seeking a full-time Senior Executive Provenance. This role requires a methodical and logical approach to object documentation and research, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to multitask across various projects. The ideal candidate will have prior research experience and a postgraduate degree in fine arts, art history, art aesthetics, or a related field. About DAG: DAG was established in 1993 and is now the world's largest and best-known commercial gallery selling and curating exhibitions of Indian and South Asian Modern and Contemporary Art. DAG showcases the breadth and quality of 20th Century art from this region, covering all the main styles and themes of artistic endeavor in painting, sculpture, drawings, watercolors and lithographs. DAG participates in national and international art fairs including Art Dubai, Art Basel Hong Kong, Art Stage Singapore, Masterpiece London and the India Art Fair, New Delhi. DAGs presence at these venues has brought growing attention and multiple awards for its innovative pavilion designs and curated presentations of select works of art. Please Note: The vetting process for this role comprises 2-3 rounds of interviews and may be followed by a brief assignment. The Art X Company is hiring for this role on behalf of DAG. This is an on-site, full-time position based in Delhi. Salary band for this role is available upon request. Requirements Essential Qualifications & Experience: Postgraduate degree in Fine Arts, Art History, Art Aesthetics, or a related research field 3-5 years of experience in provenance research, documentation, or a related area within an art gallery or museum setting Strong research and analytical skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Good knowledge of artwork mediums and technology, development processes, and basic technical elements Proficiency in using research databases and digital tools for documentation Key Personal Attributes & Skills: Creative individual with drive and the ability to take initiative Values of adaptability and sincerity are critical Ability to adhere to project management structures, systems, and processes and follow through both personally and with team members Good time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure Good writing skills and an understanding of how to approach diverse stakeholders Strong attention to detail and good observation skills Ability to work effectively, both independently and as part of a team Ability to produce clear, coherent creative briefs and project reports Ability to organize a daily workload by priorities Requirements Essential Qualifications: A Masters Degree with a research dissertation, ideally in a creative, social science or humanities field Minimum undergraduate level statistics study. Proficiency in English language and academic writing. IT system proficiency, especially Microsoft Excel, Google Drive, Slack, and Zoom. Analytical skills for examining and drawing insights. Ability to visualise data and communicate complex information. Required Experience: At least 1-2 years of experience with research of any kind independent or guided Previous experience in market or academic research. Experience in fieldwork and report writing. Experience in conducting primary research through interviews and focus groups. Experience with survey tools and data analysis tools such as SurveyMonkey, NVivo, SPSS Key Personal Attributes & Skills: Creative individual with drive, good analytical skills and the ability to take initiative Should be comfortable with interviewing people from diverse backgrounds An effective team worker who shows initiative and takes ownership of the role Good time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure Strong attention to detail and good observation skills Ability to work effectively, both independently and as part of a team,
