We are seeking a skilled and experienced VB.NET Developer to join our team. As a VB.NET Developer, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining software applications using VB.NET framework. Your primary focus will be on creating efficient, reliable, and scalable solutions that meet our clients' needs.
Responsibilities:
Develop software applications using VB.NET framework: Design, code, test, debug, and document software applications using VB.NET, adhering to established coding standards and best practices.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work closely with business analysts, project managers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements, clarify specifications, and deliver high-quality solutions.
Software development lifecycle: Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
Troubleshooting and issue resolution: Identify and resolve technical issues, bugs, and performance bottlenecks, ensuring the smooth functioning of applications.
Code optimization and performance enhancement: Analyze existing codebase, identify areas for improvement, and implement enhancements to optimize performance and efficiency.
Database integration: Develop database schemas, write complex SQL queries, and integrate applications with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle) to ensure seamless data flow and integrity.
Documentation: Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including system designs, specifications, and user manuals, to facilitate efficient development and support.
Stay updated with industry trends: Continuously explore new technologies, frameworks, and methodologies to improve development processes and stay abreast of industry trends.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Proven experience as a VB.NET Developer or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of software development principles.
Proficiency in VB.NET programming language and the .NET framework.
Solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) concepts and design patterns.
Experience with relational databases and proficiency in writing efficient SQL queries.
Familiarity with web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and web application development.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to debug and resolve complex technical issues.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Self-motivated and proactive, with a strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
Knowledge of software development methodologies, such as Agile or Scrum, is a plus.
Experience with other programming languages, such as C# or ASP.NET, is a plus.
