Job Description The Banquet Executive Chef is responsible for overseeing and managing the culinary operations for all banquet events, including weddings, conferences, meetings, and other large-scale gatherings. This role involves creating high-quality, delicious, and visually appealing dishes, leading kitchen staff, and ensuring the kitchen runs efficiently. The Banquet Executive Chef is also responsible for working closely with event planners and other department heads to ensure customer satisfaction. Roles and Responsibilities: Menu Planning & Development: Create innovative and diverse banquet menus tailored to different events, dietary preferences, and cultural requirements. Collaborate with event planners and the Food and Beverage team to design menus that align with the theme and budget of the event. Ensure that menu items are both cost-effective and of the highest quality. Kitchen Leadership: Lead and supervise a team of chefs, cooks, and kitchen staff, ensuring efficient and high-quality food production. Provide training, guidance, and motivation to kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment. Monitor and evaluate kitchen staff performance, conducting regular evaluations and providing feedback. Food Preparation & Execution: Oversee food preparation, ensuring that dishes are prepared and presented to the highest standard. Ensure that food is prepared and served on time for large-scale banquet events. Maintain the quality and consistency of all food produced for banquets. Food Safety & Hygiene: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper food handling, sanitation, and storage. Monitor kitchen cleanliness and maintenance of equipment. Maintain food safety standards and enforce proper handling procedures among all kitchen staff. Cost Control: Manage the kitchens food costs, labor costs, and other operational expenses, ensuring that banquet events stay within budget. Negotiate with suppliers for the best prices for ingredients and products without compromising on quality. Monitor inventory levels and oversee food ordering, storage, and stock rotation to minimize waste. Quality Control & Presentation: Ensure that food served at banquet events meets the highest quality standards in taste, texture, and presentation. Oversee plating and presentation of food, ensuring it aligns with the aesthetic requirements of each event. Conduct quality control checks to maintain consistency and satisfaction. Collaboration with Other Departments: Work closely with the event planning and service teams to ensure seamless execution of banquet events. Coordinate with the front-of-house staff to ensure that the timing of food service aligns with the event schedule. Participate in meetings with event planners, sales teams, and other stakeholders to discuss banquet logistics and requirements. Customer Satisfaction: Actively monitor guest feedback regarding the food quality, presentation, and service at banquet events. Address any guest complaints or concerns related to food quality or service promptly and professionally. Ensure that guests dietary restrictions and special requests are accommodated. Event Logistics: Oversee kitchen logistics, including the preparation and timely delivery of food for events, ensuring smooth operations. Ensure kitchen staff is prepared and organized for large banquet services, including setup, execution, and breakdown. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest culinary trends and techniques, incorporating them into banquet menus when appropriate. Continuously improve kitchen operations by streamlining processes and maintaining a high level of efficiency.,
