We are seeking a passionate Product Design Intern to join our dynamic team and contribute to the development our design system. --- Key Responsibilities: Design System Development: Collaborate with senior designers to develop and maintain Flax One's design system, ensuring consistency across all platforms. Component Design: Create and refine UI components in Figma, focusing on scalability and reusability. Prototyping: Develop interactive prototypes to demonstrate design concepts and gather feedback. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure design feasibility and alignment with project goals. User Research: Assist in conducting user research and usability testing to inform design decisions. Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of design components and guidelines to support the design and development teams. --- Qualifications: Proficiency in Figma: Strong skills in Figma, with experience in creating and managing design systems. Understanding of Design Principles: Solid grasp of typography, color theory, layout, and visual hierarchy. Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to think critically and provide creative solutions to design challenges. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions effectively. Team Player: Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment. Portfolio: A strong portfolio showcasing your design work, particularly in design systems and UI component creation. --- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with IoT Products: Familiarity with designing interfaces for IoT-enabled products. Knowledge of Web Technologies: Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to facilitate better collaboration with developers.
