Building Automation Control Systems Hardware Design Engineer. Role summary: This is a lead Design Engineer position. Should be able to guide a team of 4 to 5 engineers. Using established BAS system standards in US geography, responsible for hardware designs and software programming for HVAC control systems to meet the intent of the project requirements. Provides detailed information and submittals to communicate design and operation to customers, consultants, field installation team and subcontractors. Must be Process centric in approach. Day to Day work Work : Creates hardware designs from Mechanical drawings, Piping and Instrumentation and Electrical Drawings. Has ability to develop sequence of operations those will be implemented in the Building Automation Controllers, prepare overall Automation bill of material, network layouts and electrical schematics as required. Create OT network/automation Architecture for the project. Performs software programming using established standards and SOPs as a basis of design. Coordinates the creation of necessary drawings and equipment schedules for submittals and installation. Create wiring diagrams, Panel Designs. Has ability to select Sensors, Actuators, Controllers, gateways, from the suppliers and create overall Bill of quantities. Is able to support/Guide in the loading and commissioning of all system and network-level controllers as required. Gathers field changes from the project team and creates as-built drawings and software. Prepares proper documentation and/or manuals for system operation. Major Skills: Knowledge of Controls Networking, Mechanical equipment like Chillers, colling towers, AHUs, VAVs, VFD, Economizers, is familiar with Major automation systems from Honeywell and JCI , Is aware of Challenges in Legacy migration projects. Niagara/ Metasys knowledge and experience preferred. Supporting skills and ability to write simple software controls Implementations. Configure controllers, Create Graphics. Ideal work Experience (minimum) 5 years Must have working experience on US/European projects. Middle East or India only experience will not be considered as there is a distinct difference in HVAC practices and customer profiles from these regions and what we are targeting.,
