- Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Head of Data Science to lead our data-driven decision-making and innovation initiatives. This role requires a highly skilled leader who can drive advanced analytics, AI/ML models, and data-driven strategies to optimize business performance. The ideal candidate should have 10+ years of experience in data science, strong leadership capabilities, and a proven track record in building and deploying AI/ML models at scale. As the Head of Data Science, you will play a crucial role in shaping our data strategy, mentoring a high-performing team, and leveraging cutting-edge technologies to drive business impact. Key Responsibilities Define and execute the data science strategy to support business growth and innovation. Lead and manage a team of data scientists, machine learning engineers, and analysts to develop scalable AI/ML models. Design and implement predictive modeling, NLP, deep learning, and AI-driven automation for various business applications. Oversee end-to-end model development, from data acquisition to deployment in production. Work closely with stakeholders across engineering, product, and business teams to translate complex data insights into actionable business decisions. Optimize big data processing pipelines and cloud-based data infrastructure for real-time analytics. Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging AI technologies, and best practices in data science. Ensure compliance with data privacy, security, and governance regulations. Required Skills & Qualifications 10+ years of experience in data science, AI/ML, or quantitative analytics with at least 3+ years in a leadership role. Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and distributed computing frameworks (Spark, Hadoop, Dask). Hands-on experience with deep learning (TensorFlow, PyTorch), NLP, computer vision, and reinforcement learning. Strong understanding of MLOps, model deployment (Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud platforms (Google Cloud, AWS, Azure). Ability to align data science initiatives with business goals and KPIs. Experience in data-driven decision-making across finance, marketing, operations, or product management. Proven track record of leading and scaling data science teams. Strong ability to present complex findings to senior executives and stakeholders. Masters/PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, Mathematics, or a related field. Experience in financial markets, algorithmic trading, or fintech is a plus.
