- Overview: The Informatica Developer plays a pivotal role in managing and transforming data within our organization. This role is crucial for ensuring that our data integration processes align with business goals, enabling effective decision-making. The main responsibility involves utilizing Informatica PowerCenter and other related ETL tools to develop and implement robust data warehousing solutions. The ideal candidate will work closely with business analysts and other developers to gather requirements, design solutions, and ensure data flow integrity across various systems. This position is integral to maintaining high-quality data standards, optimizing performance, and implementing data governance protocols. The Informatica Developer will also troubleshoot and resolve any data-related issues, thereby contributing to improved operational efficiency. A strong emphasis will be placed on leveraging data as a strategic asset to foster innovation and drive growth within the company. Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes using Informatica PowerCenter. Collaborate with business analysts to gather and document requirements for data integration and transformation. Implement data migration processes between different systems efficiently and effectively. Perform data profiling to ensure high data quality and integrity. Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues and performance bottlenecks. Write and optimize SQL queries to support data extraction and reporting needs. Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers. Monitor and optimize ETL job performance for improved efficiency. Ensure compliance with data governance and security policies. Provide ongoing support and maintenance for deployed ETL solutions. Document ETL processes and maintain comprehensive design specifications. Work in an Agile environment to deliver projects on time and within budget. Assist in the development of best practices for ETL processes. Stay updated with the latest Informatica features and best practices in data management. Engage in team collaboration to drive continuous improvement in data integration processes. Mentor junior developers and assist in their professional development. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in ETL development with Informatica PowerCenter. Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and methodologies. Proficient in SQL and database management systems (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server). Experience with data profiling and data quality tools. Familiarity with big data technologies is a plus (e.g., Hadoop, Spark). Knowledge of cloud data integration platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is preferred. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong analytical skills and the ability to work under pressure. Experience in version control systems such as Git or SVN. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Certifications in Informatica or related ETL tools are a plus. Willingness to learn new technologies and methodologies. Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
