Key Responsibilities Perform complex cardiovascular and thoracic surgeries. Conduct pre-operative assessments and formulate surgical plans. Collaborate with cardiologists and other specialists for comprehensive care. Lead surgical teams during procedures and ensure adherence to protocols. Monitor post-operative recovery and manage complications as needed. Educate patients and their families about surgical options and recovery processes. Participate in research initiatives and clinical trials to advance methodologies. Provide mentorship and training to surgical residents and fellows. Collaborate in multidisciplinary case discussions to enhance patient outcomes. Maintain accurate surgical records and documentation in compliance with regulations. Attend and contribute to surgical rounds and departmental meetings. Stay updated on advancements in cardiovascular surgery techniques. Contribute to hospital policy development regarding surgical protocols. Required Qualifications Doctor of Medicine (MD) or equivalent degree. Completion of an accredited residency in General Surgery. Fellowship training in Cardiothoracic or Congenital Heart Surgery. Board certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery. 5+ years of clinical experience in cardiovascular surgery. Proficient in robotic surgical techniques and minimally invasive procedures. Track record of successful patient outcomes in complex surgeries. Strong understanding of cardiovascular anatomy and physiology. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team setting. Commitment to ongoing professional development and education. Familiarity with electronic health record systems. Demonstrated ability to conduct clinical research. Experience in teaching medical students and surgical trainees. Valid medical license to practice in the relevant state.
