    About The Role We are looking for an IT Specialist to maintain, upgrade, and manage our software, hardware, and networks. The ideal candidate should be able to diagnose and resolve technical issues swiftly and effectively, while also having the ability to communicate with interdisciplinary teams and users. Your primary goal will be to ensure that our technology infrastructure runs smoothly, securely, and efficiently. Key Responsibilities System Setup & Troubleshooting: Install, upgrade, support, and troubleshoot hardware and software issues, including computers, printers, and peripheral devices. Handle the setup, configuration, and maintenance of both Windows and Mac operating systems. User Management & Onboarding Manage the IT onboarding and offboarding process, including setting up new hire accounts, assigning licenses, and ensuring hardware and software are configured for each employee. Administer user accounts and maintain documentation of assigned hardware and software. Network & System Security Maintain and secure the companys network, ensuring proper security protocols such as access control, firewalls, backups, and system security settings are in place. Regularly upgrade systems with new releases, models, and updates to ensure the infrastructure remains current and secure. Inventory & Documentation Maintain an up-to-date IT inventory and document all hardware assets, software licenses, and configurations. Coordinate with departments for network and system hardware and software implementation, ensuring alignment with the companys operational needs. Data & Network Security Ensure data security through regular backups, access control, and firewall maintenance. Assist with intrusion detection systems and other security measures to protect company data. System Audits Perform regular system audits, both physical and software-based, to ensure compliance with company policies and standards. IT Support & Maintenance Provide ongoing IT support for employees, responding to technical support requests quickly and efficiently. Troubleshoot network issues, including diagnosing and resolving problems related to connectivity, system crashes, and other technical issues. Required Skills And Qualifications Education: Any Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Experience: 2-3 years of experience in IT support, administration, or related roles. Technical Skills Proficiency in both Mac, Linux, and Windows OS environments. Hands-on experience with system security (e.g., intrusion detection, data backup/recovery). Experience with firewall setup and network security protocols. Familiarity with cloud-based tools such as Google Workspace. Soft Skills Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure.
