Job Description: Roles and Responsibilities: Analyze company spend and identify areas for improvements and cost savings. Monitor vendor agreements and identify opportunities for discounts. Assist with various cash and account reconciliations as required by senior accountants. Begin to take an active role in month end close. Ability to conduct and document variance analysis and understand the role of analytical reviews. Discuss and resolve accounting issues within the department specific to your assignments. Support M&A department with ad hoc tasks as needed. Communicate with other team members and partners timely to assist and provide input for appropriate response. Understand the accounting principles and theory relevant to your individual assignments and level of responsibility. Requirements: 1+ year of general accounting experience (public a plus). Bachelors degree in accounting. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel, including Vlookups and pivot tables. Experience with Sage Intacct a plus. General knowledge of GAAP. Ability to express yourself clearly in written communications. Ability to handle multiple assignments and priorities and fulfill all commitments. Recognize expectations for deadlines, deliverables, firm protocol, etc. Establish a track record of producing work that is highly accurate; demonstrate attention to detail. Ability to learn and work with the latest technologies in the industry, including Artificial Intelligence and automation. Skills and Expertise: Maintain a high level of organization to perform work effectively and efficiently. Ability to identify efficient methodologies and utilize them on assignments. Attend meetings and become active in outside organizations appropriate to your level. Begin to recognize opportunities for expanding the department's role within the firm.
