Job Description
- About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Network Specialist to conduct gap assessments, identify vulnerabilities, and implement remediation strategies to enhance network security, performance, and scalability. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in designing, optimizing, and securing enterprise networks across on-premise, cloud, and hybrid environments. Key Responsibilities: Network Gap Assessment: Conduct a comprehensive analysis of existing network architecture, identifying security risks, performance issues, and compliance gaps. Remediation Planning & Execution: Develop and implement solutions to address network vulnerabilities, optimize performance, and enhance security. Network Design & Architecture: Design and implement scalable, high-performance, and secure network architectures for LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, and hybrid cloud environments. Security & Compliance: Ensure network security best practices, implement firewall policies, VPN configurations, Zero Trust principles, and comply with industry standards (ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR). Network Optimization & Troubleshooting: Improve network performance by analyzing latency, bandwidth utilization, and QoS policies. SD-WAN & Cloud Networking: Design and deploy SD-WAN solutions, hybrid connectivity, and cloud networking for AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud environments. Automation & Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Implement automation using Ansible, Terraform, or scripting (Python, Bash) for network configurations. Documentation & Reporting: Provide detailed reports on findings, remediation steps, and ongoing network health assessments. Required Skills & Experience: 8+ years of experience in enterprise network architecture, design, and security. Strong expertise in routing & switching (Cisco, Juniper etc), firewall management (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Check Point etc), WAN Accelerators (Riverbed etc) and load balancers (F5, Citrix ADC). Experience in SD-WAN, MPLS, VPN, BGP, OSPF, and network segmentation. Knowledge of Zero Trust Networking, NAC (Cisco ISE, Aruba ClearPass etc), and network security frameworks. Hands-on experience with cloud networking (Azure Virtual WAN, AWS Transit Gateway, Google Cloud VPC). Proficiency in network automation tools (Ansible, Terraform, Python scripting). Familiarity with SIEM solutions, IDS/IPS, DDoS protection, and network monitoring (Splunk, SolarWinds, Nagios). Certifications (Preferred): CCIE, CCNP, AWS/Azure Network Specialty, Fortinet NSE, Palo Alto PCNSE,
