- Job Description: Technical Proposal Engineer Position Overview: TECHExpert Engineering Pvt. Ltd. is seeking an experienced Technical Proposal Engineer in the Paint Shop Industry typically focuses on preparing detailed technical proposals for paint shop systems, equipment, and solutions. This role requires understanding both the technical aspects of painting processes and the ability to communicate those to clients or internal stakeholders. Key Responsibilities : Proposal Development: Develop comprehensive technical proposals for clients, including solutions for paint shops, systems, and equipment. Understand customer requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Work with sales teams to understand customer needs and incorporate them into proposals. Ensure that the proposals are cost-effective, technically viable, and aligned with industry standards. Design and Specifications: Design or suggest appropriate paint shop layouts, considering the client's specifications and needs. Recommend the right equipment such as spray booths, curing ovens, robotic arms, and automated systems for paint application. Understand the technical specifications of paint application systems and make design recommendations based on the client's requirements. Technical Documentation: Prepare and review technical documentation related to the proposed systems, including technical drawings, operation manuals, and system descriptions. Ensure that the proposal meets the required safety standards, environmental regulations, and quality control norms. Cost Estimation and Budgeting: Estimate project costs including material, labor, installation, and ongoing maintenance. Provide accurate and competitive cost breakdowns for different paint shop system options. Work closely with suppliers to get accurate quotes for equipment and materials. Client Interaction: Communicate with clients to ensure that all technical requirements are understood and addressed. Present proposals and solutions to clients in a clear, professional, and technically accurate manner. Address any queries or concerns raised by the client regarding the technical details of the proposal. Collaboration: Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that the proposal meets both technical and business objectives. Work with the R&D department to keep up with the latest trends, technology, and innovation in the paint shop industry. Compliance and Standards: Ensure all proposed systems comply with industry standards and regulations, such as ISO, OSHA, and local environmental standards. Suggest solutions that reduce environmental impact, like energy-efficient systems or waste-reduction techniques. Qualification: Educational Background: A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Additional certifications or training related to the paint shop or coatings industry can be a plus. Technical Skills: Expertise in paint shop systems and operations, including spray booths, curing ovens, and other related equipment. Proficiency in CAD software for design proposals (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks). Understanding of industrial painting processes (wet spray, powder coating, electrostatic coating, etc.). Knowledge of material handling, air filtration systems, and waste management in the context of paint shops. Familiarity with automation and robotics in paint applications. Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong ability to analyze customer needs and design tailored solutions. Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and find practical solutions. Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills to clearly present complex technical information. Ability to create clear technical documentation and presentations. Experience: 5 - 7 years of experience in the paint or coatings industry, especially in a technical role or proposal engineering, is highly beneficial. Familiarity with the latest technological trends in the paint shop industry, including automation and energy-efficient solutions. Designing and Drawing Tools: AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar CAD software. Proposal Tools: Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for creating documents and presentations.
