Database Operations Engineer - Job Description Location: Bangalore Employment Type: Full-time What You Will Do Operate mission-critical database infrastructure in a highly agile and scalable production environment across multiple regulated entities. Manage and optimize large-scale, Terabyte-sized open-source relational databases and high-throughput NoSQL datastores, serving tens of thousands of queries per second. Dive deep into the internals of RDBMS, operating systems, and underlying hardware. Maintain mission-critical database systems deployed on AWS EC2/RDS/Aurora and various NoSQL technologies. Plan for organic and inorganic growth, including related operational requirements. Continuously improve the operability and observability of deployed database clusters. You Should Apply If You Have Over 2+ years of DBA experience in the software industry, particularly with RDS/Aurora (MySQL/Postgres) and NoSQL databases (preferred). Working knowledge of NoSQL datastores, including but not limited to DynamoDB, Aerospike, MongoDB, Cassandra, ScyllaDB, and Elasticsearch. Strong knowledge of Linux performance, memory management, I/O tuning, configuration, security, networking, clusters, and troubleshooting. Experience with TimescaleDB, Redis/Elasticache/MemDB, and database proxies such as ProxySQL and Maxscale. Experience with CDC systems, including but not limited to DMS, Debezium, and Maxwell. Expertise in database sharding solutions such as Vitess, Jepants, and TiDB. Proficiency in deployment automation using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, Chef, and Pulumi. Strong working knowledge of high availability/disaster recovery (HA/DR) best practice architecture.,
