- Job Highlights We are seeking an experienced Senior Solution Architect specializing in Database Technology, you will be responsible for architecting, designing, and implementing complex database solutions for our enterprise clients. You will leverage your expertise in both relational and non-relational database systems to create scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions that meet our clients" business needs. Job Description Solution Architecture & Design: Lead the design and implementation of database solutions, considering scalability, performance, availability, and security. Provide expert guidance on the selection and integration of database technologies (relational, NoSQL, cloud-native, etc.) based on client requirements. Design and deliver high-performance, reliable, and secure database architectures tailored to specific business use cases. Develop detailed system architecture blueprints, including data models, database schemas, and integrations with other systems. Consultation & Collaboration: Collaborate with business stakeholders, technical teams, and project managers to understand and translate business requirements into technical solutions. Provide consulting to clients on best practices for database management, optimization, and scaling. Support pre-sales activities, including technical presentations, scoping, and estimating project deliverables. Technology Leadership: Stay up to date with emerging database technologies and trends (e.g., cloud databases, database automation, AI-driven databases) and recommend innovative solutions. Mentor junior architects and developers, ensuring the adoption of best practices and standards across database design and implementation. Lead troubleshooting and performance optimization efforts, ensuring database systems meet or exceed defined service-level agreements (SLAs). Project & Vendor Management: Oversee the successful implementation of database solutions across projects, ensuring alignment with architecture principles, timelines, and budgets. Manage relationships with third-party database vendors and tools, ensuring the effective integration of their solutions into the architecture. Contribute to the development and management of the project roadmap, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of solutions. Security & Compliance: Ensure database solutions adhere to industry standards and compliance regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2). Implement data protection measures, including encryption, backup strategies, and disaster recovery planning. Conduct periodic reviews of database security and performance. Required Skills & Experience Technical Expertise: In-depth experience with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra, DynamoDB). Strong understanding of cloud-based database platforms (AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database, Google Cloud SQL, etc.). Expertise in database design, optimization, and scaling for both transactional and analytical workloads. Familiarity with data warehousing, ETL processes, and data integration technologies. Architecture & Solution Design: Proven experience in architecting large-scale, high-performance database systems. Strong knowledge of data modeling, schema design, and database performance tuning. Experience with cloud-native architectures and distributed database systems. Tools & Technologies: Proficiency in database automation, monitoring, and management tools (e.g., Liquibase, Flyway, DBeaver, Prometheus, etc.). Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). Experience with DevOps pipelines for database deployments and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices. Leadership & Communication: Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to guide and inspire cross-functional teams. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and effectively prioritize tasks. Certifications: Oracle Certified Architect or other related database certifications.
