Qualification & Experience B. Tech / BE 5+ years of relevant experience Proven ability to plan and execute workload in a pressurized & dynamic environment. ITIL Certified or a strong working knowledge of ITIL Incident, Problem and Change Management disciplines. Skills Required Technical skills Strong Knowledge in Database administration processes and concepts. Knowledge of configuring and setting up maintenance activities for DB. Ability to direct and guide team to resolve crisis situations within prescribed SLAs Analytical skills Good analytical, trouble-shooting skills in the area of technical fault isolation and rectification. Process skills Ability to resolve service requests. Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow processes. Other skills Documentation and reporting skills. Should be a quick learner and have good communication and interpersonal skill. Should be willing to work in a 24*7 environment and a good team player. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES User management and maintenance of all database users like granting a subset of privileges as per clients policy. Resolving User related queries in Production and Test Databases. As per client request creating new users and assigning profiles in production databases. Monthly purging activity to gain database level space improvement Archival activity for performance improvement. Performance monitoring, Database installation and configuration Schedule RMAN backup and monitor RMAN status of all production databases. Monitoring the uptime of all production & staging databases including and SMS databases Monitoring Database and listener status for Production and DR side. Monitoring of alert logs, identifying errors and Initiate approval for necessary action Monitoring Disk utilization for Production and DR Database. Monitoring Table space Size in database level. Monitoring for DC and DR sync status and check status archival apply status Monitoring number of active sessions in database. Monitoring CPU utilization and I/O wait on Production database. Providing out of hours cover as agreed with the Team Leader Interface proactively with other Infrastructure support teams such as UNIX, Windows, Network, Storage, Monitoring etc Document issues and associated resolutions to problems Prepare documentation and presentation of progress reports to customers hidden_emailhidden_mobile,
