- AI Backend Developer (AI Processing, API Development & RAG Implementation) Experience: 2+ years preferred About the Role We are seeking an experienced AI Backend Developer to develop and optimize backend infrastructure for AI-driven applications, with a strong focus on Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) for improved LLM inference. The role requires expertise in API development, database management, vector storage solutions, and cloud deployment. Candidates with experience in vector databases like LanceDB and RAG pipeline implementation will be highly preferred. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain high-performance FastAPI (Python) applications. Design and optimize APIs for AI model integration and inferencing. Implement RAG-based architectures for enhancing LLM inference. Work with vector databases, including LanceDB, Pinecone, Weaviate, FAISS, for efficient AI search and retrieval. Manage databases, including PostgreSQL (SQL) and MongoDB (NoSQL), for structured and unstructured data storage. Develop efficient data retrieval and updating mechanisms for optimized AI performance. Deploy and manage applications on AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure. Ensure backend systems are scalable, secure, and optimized for performance. Collaborate closely with AI/ML engineers, frontend developers, and DevOps teams. Skills & Qualifications Required: Proficiency in FastAPI (Python) for RESTful API development. Strong experience with PostgreSQL and MongoDB database management. Hands-on experience with RAG-based architectures for AI-driven retrieval and inferencing. Knowledge of vector storage systems, including LanceDB, Pinecone, Weaviate, and FAISS. Cloud deployment expertise on AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure. Solid understanding of authentication, authorization, and API security best practices. Preferred: Experience with Celery or RabbitMQ for asynchronous task processing. Familiarity with GraphQL for API development. Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes for containerized deployment.
