Job Description

    Job Title: Debt Collector Voice Process

    Job Summary:

    We are looking for a Debt Collector (Voice Process) to join our dynamic team. The role involves handling outbound and inbound calls to recover outstanding debts while ensuring a professional and customer-friendly approach. The ideal candidate must have strong communication skills, negotiation abilities, and a good understanding of U.S. debt collection laws.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Make outbound calls and receive inbound calls to recover past-due payments.

    • Negotiate payment plans and settlements while adhering to company policies and legal guidelines.

    • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, payment commitments, and account updates.

    • Follow up with debtors on agreed payment arrangements to ensure timely payments.

    • Handle objections and disputes while maintaining professionalism and compliance.

    • Adhere to FDCPA (Fair Debt Collection Practices Act) and other applicable debt collection laws.

    • Use skip-tracing tools and techniques to locate debtors who are difficult to contact.

    • Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly collection targets.

    Requirements:

    • High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelors degree preferred).

    • 1+ years of experience in a call center debt collection or customer service role.

    • Strong verbal communication and negotiation skills.

    • Knowledge of FDCPA, TCPA, and other debt collection laws is a plus.

    • Proficiency in using CRM software and call center tools.

    • Ability to handle high-volume calls while maintaining professionalism.

    • Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus!

    • Flexible to work in shifts (including evenings and weekends if required).
