Job Description
- Performs technology needs analysis, plans, implements, and supports the network and computing infrastructure plan. Budgeting and procurement Leads the implementation of the network, administration, systems and security teams goals, objectives, policies, and priorities Performs reprimands, terminations, commendations for network, systems, and security teams Supports server, network and desktop hardware, software and applications Perform various network engineering tasks such as: backup, security management, user account management, e-mail systems including e-mail web server, internet access, office systems and applications support Rolls out hardware and software to ensure optimal deployment of resources Plan and implement migration to the cloud from on-premises Provide network, security, architectural design, engineering, implementation, sustainment, migration, technical refresh, and lifecycle services for the data center and cloud enterprise infrastructure Ensure all software and firmware on network hardware and systems hardware is maintained and up to date on vendor supportable code versions Advises on security policy and best practices, Advocates for security during all implementations of current and future technologies. Understanding of security frameworks and how to implement them within an organization Thorough knowledge of networking and routing protocols and structured cabling Expert knowledge on operating systems including Windows, AIX and Mac OS Identify and evaluate new products/solutions Knowledge and experience in IT service delivery, ITIL certification preferred Experience in IT audit and implement standards and methodologies.
