Job Description
- We are seeking a Head of Business Intelligence Operations to lead a team of reporting and analytics professionals. As Head of Business Intelligence Operations, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of data-driven strategies that enhance decision-making, improve operational efficiency, and drive business growth3. You will lead and organize the BI Operations team and support workstream projects in the implementation and use of new BI software tools and systems. Responsibilities: Develop and implement a comprehensive business intelligence strategy Oversee the design and maintenance of data systems and dashboards Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data needs and opportunities Analyze complex datasets to provide actionable insights and recommendations Lead and mentor a team of data analysts and BI professionals Ensure data accuracy, security, and compliance with regulations Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance BI capabilities Present findings and strategies to senior leadership and stakeholders Lead and organize the BI Operations team and support workstream projects in the implementation and use of new BI software tools and systems Skills and Qualifications: Proven experience as Head of Business Intelligence, Operations Director, or similar leadership role. Strong background in data analytics, leadership, and strategic planning, with a proven ability to translate complex data into actionable insights Excellent leadership skills with experience leading a team of reporting and analytics professionals. Knowledge of data analytics and reporting. Strong understanding of database administration, data modeling, business intelligence, SQL querying, data warehousing, and online analytical processing (OLAP). Outstanding communication and negotiation skills. Excellent organizational and leadership ability. Analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude. Excellent IT skills and knowledge of industry-specific software or programs. Commercial awareness and a thorough understanding of the competitive environment. Project management skills and knowledge of methodologies such as Agile, Lean, and Six Sigma. Time management skills and the ability to prioritize effectively and delegate when appropriate. Proficiency in Power BI and query experience. Required Tools: Business Intelligence (BI) tools such as Power BI, SAP, and Tableau. Microsoft BI stack: Power Pivot, SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS. Project management software. Experience: Significant experience in a similar role with at least five years in a senior or management position with leadership responsibilities. Industry experience is valuable, and expertise in interdepartmental working is also an advantage. Experience working with data, analyzing figures, and producing reports is helpful. Experience implementing IT systems, upgrading software, or researching new technologies. Education: BSc/BA in Business, Computer Science, or another relevant field.,
