About the Role We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Associate, Accountant (Crypto) to join our accounting team. This is a bookkeeping-focused role that requires expertise in blockchain accounting and interest in crypto tax compliance. You will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, reconciling crypto transactions, and maintaining compliance with evolving regulatory requirements. If you have experience at companies like Koinly, CoinTracker, TokenTax, or similar, and are passionate about the intersection of crypto and accounting, wed love to hear from you. This position is ideal for candidates with up to 5 years of experience in accounting, crypto taxation, or bookkeeping within the Web3 space. Key Responsibilities: Maintain accurate daily financial records for cryptocurrency transactions, including tracking gains, losses, and cost basis. Reconcile crypto wallets, exchange accounts, and on-chain transactions with financial statements. Assist in the preparation of tax filings and ensure compliance with global cryptocurrency tax regulations. Support month-end and year-end closing processes by preparing journal entries and financial reports. Work closely with internal teams to improve crypto accounting processes and implement best practices. Stay up to date with evolving crypto tax laws and accounting standards. Assist in audits by providing supporting documentation for crypto transactions and financial records. Candidate Requirements: Experience: 25 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or tax compliance, preferably in the cryptocurrency or blockchain industry. Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of crypto accounting, blockchain transactions, and tax implications. Industry Experience: Prior work experience at Koinly, CoinTracker, TokenTax, or similar platforms is highly preferred. Accounting Tools: Proficiency in crypto accounting software, general ledger systems, and tools like QuickBooks or NetSuite. Attention to Detail: Ability to track and reconcile large volumes of crypto transactions with precision. Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret blockchain transaction data. Education: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred; CPA, CFA, or similar certifications are a plus but not required.,
