- Location: Initially remote, eventually based in Patiala, India About Us: We are a forward-thinking organization dedicated to innovation and growth. As we expand our operations in India, we seek a talented Automation Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. Position Overview: We are looking for a smart, creative, and experienced Automation Design Engineer who is organized, efficient, and hands-on. The ideal candidate is not afraid to tackle complex problems and can develop reliable and straightforward solutions. Strong interpersonal skills, a passion for automation design, and skill acquisition are essential. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with North American teams to design automated and robotic production lines and custom machines for assembly or manufacturing in North America. Prior experience in designing complete automated lines is required. Understand client requirements from Canadian and Mexican teams, prepare estimates for required design hours, concepts, specification sheets, and scope of design, and manage project planning and execution. Design production and assembly robotics automated lines/fixtures. Allocate 80% of your time to designing and 20% to managing a team of junior engineers. Requirements: Degree or diploma in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering. Minimum of 10 years of combined experience in designing automated and robotic lines, custom SPM (special purpose machines), and inspection fixtures using SolidWorks. Hands-on experience with SolidWorks. Knowledgeable about automation products, including industrial robots, EOAT (End of Arm Tooling), bowl feeders, safety requirements, servos, clamping devices, pneumatics, and hydraulics. In-depth understanding of current and innovative production processes and techniques for semi and fully automated lines. What We Offer: Opportunity to work with a diverse team of professionals.
