Job Description
- We are seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Engineer with Palo Alto UTM and HCFW certifications to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end deployment, service, and support of security solutions, including hardware and software installation, configuration, monitoring, and client support. This role is critical in ensuring the seamless integration and security of Unified Threat Management (UTM) and High-Performance Firewalls (HCFW) across various infrastructures. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES : Install and configure Palo Alto UTM and HCFW solutions according to the organization's security architecture. Set up remote connectivity, activate software subscription licenses, and perform initial hardware health checks. Conduct greenfield deployments, software upgrades, and licensing configurations. Implement High Availability (HA) configurations (Active/Passive mode). Define and deploy basic system configurations, security rules, and NAT policies (up to 50 rules per client traffic matrix). Deploy and configure Panorama for centralized firewall management. Provide end-to-end service management from installation to monitoring and incident resolution. Ensure successful deployment of security policies, intrusion prevention, and threat mitigation techniques. Support clients during cutover sessions and assist in resolving any issues post-maintenance. Deliver ongoing technical support and troubleshooting, ensuring minimal service disruptions. Assist in the fine-tuning of security profiles based on customer requirements and industry best practices. Develop automated processes for service management, improving efficiency in deployment and maintenance. Continuously monitor firewall performance, logs, and security events for potential threats. Perform regular risk assessments and adjust security configurations accordingly. Ensure compliance with security policies, industry standards, and best practices. Generate comprehensive reports on firewall health, security incidents, and performance metrics. Conduct technical workshops with clients to gather requirements and present High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) solutions. Document all configurations, troubleshooting steps, and security policies for knowledge sharing and future reference. Provide knowledge transfer sessions to client teams, equipping them with the necessary skills to manage firewall security effectively. Work collaboratively with Professional Services consultants and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution. REQUIRED SKILLS: Technical Certified Palo Alto Networks (PCNSE, PCNSA) Engineer with extensive experience in UTM and HCFW. Strong expertise in firewall security architecture, rule configuration, and traffic analysis. Hands-on experience in Palo Alto Panorama, centralized management, and security policy optimization. Knowledge of network security best practices, IPS/IDS, threat prevention, VPN, and SSL decryption. Proficiency in TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, and network protocols. Experience in automation and scripting for firewall deployment (Python, Ansible, etc.) is a plus. Soft Skills Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to address security challenges efficiently. Strong communication and client-handling skills for effective troubleshooting and support. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong documentation and reporting skills to ensure compliance and knowledge retention. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors/Masters degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field. Minimum 5-7 years of experience in firewall and network security. Hands-on experience with Palo Alto Networks security products and enterprise-grade security solutions. Experience working in large-scale network environments and managed services.
