BMC is looking for an Experienced Information Security Engineer to join our amazing Helix SaaS Security team! In this role, you will build out, maintain, and troubleshoot our information security systems, while supporting external customers. You will have the opportunity to learn multiple tools and technologies across multiple security domains. Here is how, through this exciting role, YOU will contribute to BMC's and your own success: Assist in deploying security measures to minimize risks associated with BMC's cloud SaaS offerings. Collaborate with SaaS teams to ensure adherence to BMC's Information Security standards. Strong experience in SaaS Security Operations, Incident Response, Vulnerability Management, and Threat Management. Practical knowledge of security technologies, intrusion detection systems, and access control mechanisms. Proven track record of cross-functional collaboration and influencing teams across different departments. Work alongside the Security Operations Center to efficiently manage and respond to security incidents. Analyze and evaluate security architectures and network data flows within various cloud environments. Regularly review and evaluate security reports from both internal and external sources. To ensure youre set up for success, you will bring the following skillset & experience: Proven hands-on experience with cloud architectures such as AWS, OCI, and GCP. Solid understanding of security architectures and network data flows across multiple cloud environments. Expertise in using native cloud provider tools (AWS, OCI, and GCP), including security and management services such as IAM, security groups, firewalls, monitoring, and compliance tools, to ensure secure and efficient cloud environments. Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills, able to communicate complex security concepts clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Bachelor's degree in Information Security or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. At least 5+ years in a direct Information Security role. Exceptional written communication and presentation skills. Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and solution design capabilities. Ability to coordinate and execute tasks to completion efficiently. Focus on delivering results quickly through iterative methodologies. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage with external customers as required. Experience in creating procedural documentation. Whilst these are nice to have, our team can help you develop in the following skills: Security engineering experience within a SaaS organization is an advantage. Experience in Cloudflare WAF (Web Applications firewalls), CrowdStrike Next Gen AV, SIEM, Vulnerability Management (Tenable), and Palo Alto Firewalls is preferred. Familiarity with container security solutions and processes is a plus. Relevant certifications such as CCSP or Security+ are advantageous. Our commitment to you!
