Database Design and Development: Design, develop, and implement database solutions based on business requirements. Create and maintain database schemas, tables, indexes, and views. Develop and optimize stored procedures, triggers, and functions. 2. Performance Tuning and Optimization: Monitor and optimize database performance to ensure efficient query execution. Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and optimize SQL queries. Implement indexing strategies for improved database performance. 3. Data Security and Integrity: Implement and maintain data security measures, including access controls and encryption. Ensure data integrity through proper normalization and validation techniques. Perform regular data quality checks and implement data cleansing processes. 4. Database Maintenance: Perform routine backups and recovery procedures to safeguard data. Plan and execute database patching and upgrades. Monitor and manage database capacity to meet current and future requirements. 5. Collaboration and Documentation: Collaborate with application developers, system administrators, and other stakeholders to integrate database solutions into overall system architecture. Document database design, configurations, and processes. Provide technical support and guidance to other team members. 6. Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Investigate and resolve database-related issues in a timely manner. Implement proactive measures to identify and address potential problems. Qualifications and Education Requirements: Qualifications: Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field. Proven experience as a Database Developer or similar role. Proficient in SQL and database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server). Proficient in cloud database services (e.g., Azure SQL Database, AWS RDS). Strong understanding of database design principles and normalization. Experience with performance tuning, optimization, and troubleshooting. Knowledge of data security best practices and principles. Familiarity with database backup and recovery procedures. Excellent collaboration and communication skills. Preferred Skills: Preferred Skills: Experience with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra). Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and techniques.
