This role involves defining, implementing, and maintaining Platform Engineering best practices across BF and BVs. Key responsibilities include: Architectural Design: Independently handling architectural design and solving complex technical challenges. Team Leadership: Mentoring junior and mid-level engineers while addressing high-priority platform-related issues effectively. Strategic Focus: Driving value creation, growth, and exceptional customer outcomes with full ownership and accountability. Collaboration: Promoting a non-hierarchical culture built on collaboration, transparency, and trust. The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving skills, technical expertise, and a commitment to delivering outstanding results for both customers and the business. Skills and Expertise:: Technical Proficiency Extensive experience in platform engineering and automation strategies, leveraging cutting-edge tools and technologies. Proven expertise in designing large-scale, reliable, scalable, and high-performance platforms. Proficiency in containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes), including advanced concepts like Helm charts, Custom Resource Definitions, and Kubernetes tooling. Expertise in setting up foundational infrastructure components such as Kafka and Elasticsearch from scratch. Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud architecture best practices. Advanced database administration skills, including automation, performance tuning, query optimization, and indexing strategies. DevOps and CI/CD Demonstrated experience with advanced CI/CD practices, including reducing build and deployment times and improving DORA metrics. Development of SLI, SLO dashboards tailored to business verticals and maintaining overall SLI metrics. Leadership and Collaboration Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and guide teams. Effective verbal and written communication skills for collaborating across teams and with non-technical stakeholders. Proven ability to articulate complex technical opportunities in a way that aligns with business needs. Specialized Knowledge Expertise in Kubernetes advanced concepts, Istio service mesh, and load balancing strategies. Experience delivering highly available, fault-tolerant solutions. Knowledge of the e-commerce ecosystem, both from a business and technical perspective. Business and Communication Skills Exceptional business communication and presentation skills with the ability to simplify technical messages for business stakeholders. Ability to convey the big picture while navigating ambiguous situations. Proficiency in English (speaking, reading, and writing); Arabic is a plus.,
