Role : Liquidity Risk Assurance
Job Duties
Scoping & designing the Liquidity Risk Assurance function, promoting and implementing synergies and efficiencies while securing an optimal and best in class control environment.
Challenge the first line control and risk owners to ensure that risk management activities are working effectively.
Primary task would be to provide first line Liquidity reporting interpretations and decisions with impact in terms of P&L allocation (liquidity premium / recharge) and product design and due diligence
To participate in the design of Banks liquidity data and reporting infrastructure
To participate in the design of Banks detective and preventative controls around liquidity data to support data completeness, reasonableness, and timeliness
Provide subject matter expertise, advice, guidance, and effective challenge to the Risk and Control Owners
Report on the risk and control profile, including support in reviewing and testing the operating effectiveness of the control framework. Support in scoping of analysis and checks where gaps are identified in the control framework
Support definition of the Risk and Control Library, including minimum control standards, with input from Risk Owners, and Control Owners, specifying key risks and key controls and providing guidance on continuous monitoring expectations
Challenge Risk and Control Owners on risk and control management, including inherent risk, residual risk, control effectiveness ratings, issues, actions and events.
Support in targeted assurance reviews and deep dive of end-to-end processes across high-risk metrics
Monitor compliance of the minimum requirements applicable to the management of capital & liquidity risk, as set out in relevant policies
Work with the business to understand the impact of emerging risks that require changes to controls, resources, and business operations to ensure they remain within appetite as well as Internal audit to understand the outcomes of their reviews and how this affects the control environment.
Skills Required :
Strong understanding of liquidity-based data, metrics, regulatory reporting, analytics, and regulations such as Liquidity Coverage Ratio (LCR), Net stable funding ratio (NSFR), Liquidity Asset Buffers (LABs) and the leverage ratio
Experience of designing & building controls & governance framework for Treasury especially the Liquidity Risk function
Strong experience with GSIB indicators and quarterly reporting, large exposures, IRRBB reporting, EBA resolution planning and NTMR
Strong experience with data requirements an issues management, be a change-agent to effectively implement process improvements and help the Global Liquidity Team execute towards the target state
Awareness and adherence to the control environment including quality assurance and quality control initiatives
Ability to demonstrate positive initiative, leadership and comfort working in a fast-paced environment
High level of personal integrity, commitment to excellence, and a strong desire to learn
Excellent oral and written communication skills. Exceptional presentation skills
