We are looking for a passionate and experienced Lead Software Engineer to join our growing team and lead the development of our core product. About the Role: We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Lead Software Engineer to lead the development and maintenance of our SaaS product at ShipDelight. You will be responsible for guiding a team of engineers, driving technical decisions, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and maintainable software solutions. Your experience building and scaling SaaS products will be invaluable. Responsibilities: Lead and mentor a team of developers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment. Design, develop, and maintain key features and functionalities of the ShipDelight's SaaS platform. Drive technical architecture decisions, ensuring scalability, performance, and security. Implement best practices in software development, including code reviews, testing, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD). Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define product requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Proactively identify and resolve technical challenges and bottlenecks. Contribute to the overall technical strategy and roadmap for the product. Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in software development, particularly within the SaaS and logistics domains. Champion code quality, performance, and security best practices. Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives. Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field. 7+ years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on back-end development. Proven experience leading and mentoring a team of software engineers. Extensive experience building and scaling SaaS products. Strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles and design patterns. Proficiency in Python is a must. Experience with relevant back-end technologies and frameworks. Experience with database technologies (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, NoSQL databases). Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure). Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum). Experience with AI/ML optimization. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.,
