- Job Title: IT Systems Administrator Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and proactive IT Systems Administrator to manage all office IT-related tasks, including server management, network security, office hardware, and backups, while also supporting the ArcGIS Enterprise environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in IT infrastructure, firewall administration, network configuration, and will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and security of all systems. Key Responsibilities: 1. Server & Network Management: Administer and maintain servers, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning. Manage firewalls, routers, switches, and ensure a secure and reliable network infrastructure. Implement and monitor SSL certificates for network security and encrypted communications. 2. Security Management: Maintain and update security protocols to protect the network and systems against vulnerabilities. Manage firewalls, intrusion detection, and prevention systems. Monitor for security breaches and implement measures to prevent unauthorized access. 3. Hardware & Software Support: Provide technical support for office hardware, including desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals. Manage software licenses, updates, and installation for all office computers. Support and maintain VPN and remote access systems for employees. Basic knowledge of Active Directory, IP configuration, DNS, DHCP. Maintain an inventory of hardware and software assets, ensuring proper tracking and compliance. Assist with IT procurement and vendor management for hardware and software needs. 4. Backup & Disaster Recovery: Implement and manage regular backups of all critical systems, including servers and network configurations. Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans, ensuring minimal downtime in case of system failure. 5. Documentation & Reporting: Document IT policies, procedures, and network configurations for future reference. Generate reports on system performance, security incidents, and backup status. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in IT system administration, including server management, networking, and security. Proficiency in administering ArcGIS Enterprise, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting. Strong knowledge of firewall administration, VPN management, and network security. Hands-on experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions. Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to work under pressure. Preferred Skills: Familiarity with cloud computing environments and virtualization technologies. Strong communication and documentation skills. Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
