Job Title: Team Leader - Sales Location: Andheri East Department: Sales Reports to: Vice President Position Overview: The Team Leader - Sales in the steel industry will play a crucial role in driving the performance of the sales team, meeting targets, and expanding the companys market share. This position involves managing and motivating a team of sales representatives, overseeing sales strategies, building strong client relationships, and ensuring effective communication between departments to optimize customer satisfaction and revenue growth. Key Responsibilities: 1. Sales Team Management: - Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of sales representatives to achieve individual and collective sales targets. - Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and identify areas for improvement. - Organize training sessions to improve team members" skills, product knowledge, and sales techniques. 2. Sales Strategy and Execution: - Develop and implement sales strategies to meet short-term and long-term goals aligned with the company's vision. - Monitor market trends and competitor activities to adapt strategies accordingly. - Analyze sales metrics and prepare reports to assess team performance and identify improvement areas. 3. Customer Relationship Management: - Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty. - Address client issues and resolve complaints promptly to ensure a positive customer experience. - Identify and capitalize on upselling and cross-selling opportunities with existing customers. 4. Market and Product Knowledge: - Stay updated on the steel industry trends, including new products, pricing structures, and competitor activities. - Guide the team in understanding product specifications and effectively communicating product benefits to clients. 5. Collaboration and Communication: - Collaborate with other departments, such as production, logistics, and finance, to ensure seamless operations and delivery. - Provide regular updates to the sales manager or regional head on team performance, market insights, and sales forecasts. 6. Reporting and Documentation: - Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and team performance metrics. - Prepare and present reports on monthly/quarterly performance and key insights for management. Qualifications: - Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA or equivalent is a plus. - Minimum 5 years of sales experience in the steel or related manufacturing industry, with at least 2 years in a leadership role. - Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets. - Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. - Proficient in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite. - Ability to analyze market data, sales trends, and performance metrics.
