Job Description
- Position Overview We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Project Manager to drive Environmental related initiatives including Energy for our data centers at Nxtra. The Project Manager will be responsible for the planning, execution, and delivery of energy and environmental sustainability projects that contribute to the company's ESG goals. This individual will work closely with internal stakeholders and partners to ensure successful project completion, while ensuring compliance with regulations and standards. Key Responsibilities Project Management of Energy & Environmental sustainability Initiatives: Lead and manage projects including renewable energy implementations and other sustainability-focused initiatives for the data center operations. Develop detailed project plans, including scope, schedule, resources, ensuring all projects are completed on time. Coordinate the development and execution of ESG-related projects that align with corporate sustainability goals. Cross-Functional Team Collaboration: Collaborate with internal departments and external vendors/contractors to drive projects forward. Facilitate regular communication between stakeholders, providing updates on project progress, risks, and issues. ESG Reporting & Documentation: Track and report on ESG performance metrics, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and compliance with industry standards. Prepare and present detailed progress reports, including timelines, and ESG outcomes, to senior leadership and external stakeholders. Energy and Sustainability Strategy Development: Contribute to the development and refinement of the companys energy strategy, including long-term sustainability goals and the integration of renewable energy sources. Support the identification and evaluation of new energy-saving technologies, carbon reduction initiatives, green building and other energy related certifications. Risk Management & Problem Solving: Identify potential risks and issues related to energy and ESG projects and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact. Address and resolve project challenges, ensuring alignment with best practices and sustainability objectives. Stakeholder Engagement & Communication: Engage with internal teams, external partners, and industry groups to promote the companys energy and ESG initiatives. Lead meetings with senior management to discuss project performance, challenges, and opportunities for improvement. Sustainability Knowledge Sharing: Advocate for sustainable practices across the organization and educate employees on environmental sustainability including energy efficiency, Renewable Energy deployment, and the importance of sustainability in operations. Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree in Project Management/ Environmental Science/ Sustainability/ Energy Management/ Engineering. PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent is preferred. Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience managing energy, sustainability, or ESG projects. Proven experience managing large, complex projects with cross-functional teams and multiple stakeholders. Skills & Knowledge: Strong understanding of energy management systems, environmental sustainability practices, and ESG standards. Familiarity with data center operations, including energy-efficient technologies, renewable energy solutions, and cooling systems. Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and project management software. Communication & Leadership Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information to senior leadership and external stakeholders. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing priorities, timelines, and resources effectively. Working Conditions Full-time position based in Gurugram. 30% travel to data centers sites and project locations may be required.
