Job Description
- Jig/ Fixture Design for Machining and Assembly processes mainly with Hydraulic actucated Fixturing and clamping, modify existing fixture design in case of requirment, Design of variable measurement Gauges, Acceptance and Functional qualification gauges based on the requirement given by stake holders that include Process Design, NPD team and Plants. He needs to check designs made by team members & qualify for correctness of dimensions & concepts. Complete understanding of Engineering drawings with respect to Machining Processes Complete Proficiency on use of 2D/ 3D CaDD softwares especially Inventor/ AutoCaDD for Fixture/ Jig Design activities. Thorough knowledge on GD&T, Working knowledge on Stack-up Tolerances. Good working knowledge on selecting Hydraulic Cylinders/ Acutation/ clamping products selection, Hydraulic Circuits with respect to Fixture Design for Machining Processes. Working knowledge on Machining Processes prove-out. Working knowledge on Inspection methods and Understanding of Inspection reports. Continuously work on Improvements, be an innovative person with contiuous efforts to improve knowledge on chosen area of work. Needs to attend Prove-outs on need basis and resolve Design related issues during Development/ Prove-outs. Problem Solving techniques with respect to Fixture Design related issues during prove-outs. Good Communication Skills, Inter-personal skills and a Good Team player. Must be a self-driven preson to achieve set Targets in Design and other related activities. Must adhere to Systems and maintain Documents/ records per the requirements defined by the Organization/ department. Must be collaborative with peers and other internal/ other deparrment staff and demonstrate cohesive and Team playing abilities towards CFT approach.,
