The position of an Assistant Account Executive is a client-driven one, with responsibilities focusing mainly on the servicing of client accounts. An Assistant Account Executive will work closely with an account executive in coordinating projects, communicating with vendors, analyzing client needs and creating brand awareness for the client. In addition, an Assistant Account Executive might handle sales leads and coordinate marketing strategies for specific clients.
Assistant Account Executives work mainly in client services departments, but may also be employed in or work closely with advertising, marketing and sales departments. They will draw on a background in all of these areas as well as project management in order to be successful in this field. An Assistant Account Executive is also referred to as a junior account executive.
