Job Description

Responsibilities: Patient Care: Conduct routine check-ups and physical exams for children. Diagnose and treat various pediatric illnesses, injuries, and disorders. Monitor growth and development milestones in children. Medical History: Obtain and record detailed medical histories of patients. Perform and interpret diagnostic tests and laboratory results. Health Education: Provide parents and guardians with guidance on child health, nutrition, and safety. Educate families about disease prevention and health promotion. Vaccination: Administer vaccinations according to established schedules. Discuss vaccination benefits and address any concerns from parents. Collaborative Care: Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including nurses, specialists, and social workers. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed patient records. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards. Research and Continuous Learning: Stay updated on the latest pediatric medical advancements and best practices. Qualifications: Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree. Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Compassionate and patient-focused attitude. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of child development and pediatric health issues. Salary: Salaries can vary based on location, experience, and type of practice, but pediatricians are generally well-compensated. Residency: Completed a pediatric residency program.
