As a Product Manager at Kong, youll collaborate closely with designers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand customer needs, tell the story of them, and craft exceptional solutions for our customers. Because were a small team, you have the opportunity to make a significant impact on our end-to-end product experience and go-to-market initiatives. Given the technical nature of our product, an ideal candidate will have familiarity with crafting developer experiences. If youre looking for a large scope and impact, this role is for you. Were looking for someone who will lead multiple services such as search and filter, audit logs, and the UI platform. Your work will enable developers to build on top of the Konnect Platform with speed and agility. What Youll Bring At least 8+ years of related experience e.g. engineering on an infrastructure product, ideally in a developer tool SaaS product or similar 1-2 years of engineering experience required software/infrastructure. If youve worked on any engineering projects that included the following, please apply: kubernetes, control plane, data plane, platform engineering, authentication, security, and search. At least 2 years of Product Management experience Knowledge of crafting production-level APIs and SDKs. Exceptional communication skills, capable of articulating complex technical concepts to a diverse range of stakeholders. Adaptability and agility in a fast-paced and evolving technology landscape, with a keen eye for emerging trends and technologies. What Youll Do Work with design and engineering to craft exceptional experiences: Design experiences that our customers need and love. Lead complex projects from early concepting to final design. Apply systems thinking by looking beyond your product area for opportunities to improve overall cohesion and usability. Champion customers: Take time to understand our customers, their jobs-to-be-done, and infuse this understanding into your work and that of others. Identify and make a compelling case for improving existing areas of our product to better meet the needs of our customers. Drive alignment: Solicit diverse perspectives, early and often, to strengthen your work. Communicate context, including customer data, business impact, trade-offs, and rationale, to generate alignment and make forward progress. Product advocate: Act as a technical advocate, delivering presentations and promoting Kong Konnects full-lifecycle API management platform.
