Job Description
- Overview As a System Administrator at our company, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the reliability and efficiency of our IT infrastructure. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks, from ensuring network security and implementing system upgrades to providing technical support to end users. This role is essential to the smooth operation of our organization's technology systems. Key responsibilities Install and configure software and hardware Manage network servers and technology tools Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements Ensure security through access controls, backups and firewalls Upgrade systems with new releases and models Develop expertise to train staff on new technologies Make recommendations for future upgrades Maintain and administer computer networks and related computing environments including systems software, applications software, hardware, and configurations Troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve hardware, software, or other network and system problems, and replace defective components when necessary Provide technical support for both hardware and software issues our users encounter Ensure that the network infrastructure is up and running Monitor network performance in order to determine whether adjustments need to be made Install and implement security programs and protocols Manage user accounts, permissions, email, antivirus, and anti-spam Required Qualifications Bachelors degree in Information Technology or related field Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator or similar role Experience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN) and patch management Knowledge of system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude Excellent communication skills Ability to create scripts in Python, Perl or other language Experience in virtualization and cloud computing Understanding of TCP/IP protocols and LAN/WAN configuration Proven experience in a system administrator role Ability to create scripts in Python, Perl or other language Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment Skills: manage network servers,backups and firewalls,tcp/ip protocols and lan/wan configuration,security,upgrade systems with new releases and models,monitor performance and maintain systems,troubleshooting,technical support,ensure security through access controls,train staff on new technologies,database management,troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, or other network and system problems,manage user accounts and permissions,databases and patch management,operating systems and platforms,system security and data backup/recovery,system upgrades,scripting,install and implement security programs and protocols,virtualization and cloud computing,diagnostic and problem-solving skills,email, antivirus, and anti-spam management,network security,install and configure software and hardware,networking,
