Job Description
- Qualification Strong experience in test automation using Selenium, Cucumber, Gherkin BDD, Appium, eclipse, IntelliJ, API testing with Rest Assured, Postman (see Technical Skill Level Requirement section). Experience in Serenity framework. Strong experience in writing clear, concise test case. Strong experience with Agile software development process and DevOps. Strong programming skill in Java, Selenium Knowledge of programming languages and process management methodology. Good exposure to Behavior Driven Development or Test-Driven Development and experience in programming and testing. Have a strong passion for testing, test automation development, and design. Minimally with 5+ years of experience in Software Development & Quality Assurance. Strong in problem solving, team player and offering inputs on the testability of functional elements and product designs. Technical Skill Level Requirement Java - Intermediate to advance level required. Selenium - Advance level required. Serenity Framework beginning to intermediate level required. BDD / Cucumber Intermediate level required. CICD Intermediate level required. GitHub / GitHub Action Intermediate level required. Maven Intermediate level required. Rest Assure API Intermediate to advance level required. DOM Concepts - Intermediate to advance level required. Non-Technical Skill Level Requirement Communication - Intermediate to advance level required. Functional & Regression Testing - Intermediate to advance level required. Exploratory Testing - Intermediate to advance level required. Understanding Overall QA - Intermediate to advance level required. Responsibilities Functional Area: Understand the application requirements, create, and execute functional test scenarios from user stories. Perform manual testing, review functional features to determine feasible regression test cases, test automation coverage. Commit to the scrum team, participate in scrum activities such as scrum meetings, sprint refinement, sprint planning, BIG ROOM planning, retro etc. Automation Area: Create automation scripts using Serenity framework, manage/maintain all regression execution on feature levels. Understand the test automation frameworks and be able to set up Serenity framework to implement test automation using the framework across Mobile, Desktop devices. Work directly with the DevOps to support test automation to scale up for larger modules or components of software apps. Be an evangelist for BDD and TDD and champion on product quality. Perform POC (proof of concept) on any subjects related to testing, test automation, provide recommendations for action steps. Have technical conversations with SDET, Developer, and DevOps when problem arise and be able to provide solutions to resolve technical issues. Mentor new members joining the team. Provide valuable feedback for teammates when conducting peer code-reviews to improve quality of code for better test validation coverage. Have good knowledge of the CICD process, be able to create run Cron jobs to auto schedule test automation scripts. Perform RCA (Root Cause Analysis) for fail test scripts and maintain test automation scripts. Demo the automation scripts to teammates and seek approval when committing code. Understand API testing, create test automation scripts to test API calls with Rest Assured, Postman. Research test tools, methodologies, and trends as part of the continual quality improvement,
