Job Description
- CLIENT: Our client is an US MNC in precision machining upto 5Microns. Major customer segments are Medical devices, Aviation ,Defence, Auto component etc. We are looking for GEAR BOX DESIGN SME to lead the Gearbox Design and Development activities and support Global design teams.Being a Subject Matter Expert (SME), support on high complex and high custom gearbox design projects including gear design, optimization, integration with other mechanical components into composite motor and gear box assembly,etc. Key Result Areas Develop detailed Gearbox design at component level gear, shafts, bearings, housing, lubrication system, material selection, heat treatment or other secondary processing. Responsible for gear, broach manufacturing process Engineering & CNC Machining Parts development. Work with Cross Functional Team comprising Engineering, Reliability Testing, Quality, Production, Sourcing, etc. and help to launch into production through proper product validation and assist operation team by meeting total cost and quality objectives. Timely preparation of Technical Proposals and documentation for new product, and presentation to internal and external stakeholders. Work closely with manufacturing and production team to resolve technical issues on existing as well as new product designs. Focus on Development of New Gearbox Technologies and present technical papers/patents in Global conferences. Incumbent profile: BE / ME Mechanical Engineering with 12+ years of experience in precision machining gearbox design. Working exposure of Sliding head machines-Star,Tornos,Tsugami,Citizen. Deep knowledge in calculation of all gear module, Pressure angle, Tooth form Standard, tooth to tooth composite error,fixture design for Hobbing, Broach machine. Sound knowledge in gear standards DIN867, VSM 15525, BS4582, VSM 15520, DIN58405, ISO 53.2 Profile B, BS 978. Worked on ESPIRIT software.
