Monitor network performance, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and ensure optimal network security. Implement and maintain network security protocols, such as firewalls and intrusion detection systems. Manage and maintain the Institution's server infrastructure, including file servers, email servers, and domain controllers. Perform routine server maintenance, updates, and backups to ensure data integrity and availability. Provide technical support to students, teachers, and staff, addressing hardware and software issues promptly. Assist with user account management, password resets, and access control. Install, update, and maintain software applications used in the educational environment, including learning management systems (LMS), student information systems (SIS), and classroom software. Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments. Manage inventory and perform hardware maintenance, repairs, and upgrades as needed. Coordinate with vendors for hardware warranty and repair services. Maintain documentation of IT systems, configurations, and procedures for reference and training purposes. Create and update IT policies and guidelines as necessary. Collaborate with teachers and staff to integrate technology into the curriculum effectively. Assist in planning and implementing technology initiatives to enhance the educational experience. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (preferred). Relevant certifications Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator will be a plus. Proven experience in IT administration, preferably in an educational setting. Proficiency in operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux) and software applications commonly used in schools/colleges. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for providing technical support and collaborating with various stakeholders.
