Job Description ACL Digital is actively hiring for experienced Senior L2/L3 Networking Protocols Developer (Platform Development) to join our dynamic team in Bengaluru. Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled L2/L3 Networking Protocols Developer with expertise in platform development. The ideal candidate will have over six years of hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and optimizing networking protocols at both the Layer 2 and Layer 3 levels. This role is critical for building high-performance, scalable, and secure networking solutions in our platform development team. You will be responsible for developing and integrating networking features, contributing to architectural decisions, and optimizing the networking stack to enhance product performance. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement networking protocols and services at L2/L3 layers (e.g., Ethernet, IPv4/IPv6, BGP, OSPF, MPLS). Contribute to system architecture and design discussions, focusing on scalability, security, and high availability. Optimize networking protocols for performance and scalability. Profile, troubleshoot, and resolve protocol performance bottlenecks. Integrate networking protocols with platform components and ensure seamless interaction with other software and hardware systems. Write unit tests, integration tests, and perform automated/manual testing to ensure product reliability and robustness. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including hardware, software, and QA teams, to align networking features with broader platform goals. Document design specifications, code implementations, and best practices for internal and external stakeholders. Keep up-to-date with advancements in networking technologies and contribute to continuous improvement in platform architecture and & Skills : Education : Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Experience : Minimum of 6 years of experience in networking protocol development, particularly at the L2/L3 levels. Technical Skills Strong knowledge of L2/L3 networking protocols (e.g., Ethernet, ARP, VLAN, IPv4/IPv6, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VRRP). Proficient in programming languages such as C, C++, and/or Python. Experience with network simulation and protocol testing tools (e.g., Wireshark, Ixia, Spirent). Familiarity with real-time operating systems and embedded systems is a plus. Experience with virtualization, containerization, and cloud networking (e.g., SDN, NFV) is desirable. (ref:hirist.tech),
