Cargo Operations Management
- Plan, supervise, and coordinate daily cargo handling and transport activities.
- Ensure proper loading, unloading, storage, and distribution of cargo.
- Oversee inventory management, tracking, and documentation of shipments.

- Manage and lead the cargo handling team, providing training and guidance.
- Allocate tasks and monitor staff performance to ensure operational efficiency.
- Foster a culture of safety, teamwork, and customer service excellence.

Customer Relationship Management
- Liaise with clients to understand their shipping requirements and resolve issues promptly.
- Ensure on-time delivery and adherence to service agreements.
- Address customer complaints and implement solutions to enhance satisfaction.

Compliance and Safety
- Ensure compliance with local, national, and international regulations for cargo handling and transport.
- Enforce safety protocols and procedures to minimize risks and maintain a safe work environment.
- Monitor cargo handling equipment for maintenance needs and report any issues.

Cost and Process Optimization
- Develop strategies to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
- Implement technology and systems to streamline cargo operations and tracking.
- Analyze key performance metrics and generate reports for management.

Documentation and Reporting
- Oversee the preparation and accuracy of shipping documents, including bills of lading, manifests, and customs declarations.
- Maintain records of shipments, delays, and other operational activities for reporting purposes.
- Education:
- Bachelors degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience in logistics, cargo operations, or a related role (management experience preferred).
- Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in logistics software and inventory management systems.
- Knowledge of cargo handling regulations and safety standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills.
- Work may involve office and on-site settings, such as warehouses, shipping terminals, or airports.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or holidays, depending on operational requirements.
- Knowledge of international shipping regulations and customs clearance procedures.
- Certification in logistics or supply chain management (e.g., CILT, CSCP) is a plus.
- Physical ability to oversee cargo handling in operational areas.
