Location: Hyderabad Experience Level: 10+ Years Mode: Hybrid Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced HPC Architect / Lead specializing in Scientific Cloud Computing to drive innovation and efficiency in research-driven environments. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in AWS Cloud services, high-performance computing (HPC), and preferably, exposure to life sciences applications. This role involves leading cloud infrastructure projects, optimizing computational performance, and mentoring technical teams. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage cloud computing infrastructure for scientific research, ensuring performance, scalability, and security. Design and implement AWS Cloud solutions (EC2, S3, Lambda, ECS, RDS, etc.) for high-performance computing workloads. Architect and deploy scalable HPC solutions in AWS, optimizing resource utilization for research computations. Collaborate with research teams and stakeholders to understand and translate scientific requirements into technical solutions. Implement, monitor, and optimize HPC clusters, ensuring efficient resource management. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to cloud architects and engineers. Troubleshoot and resolve complex cloud infrastructure and performance-related issues. Stay updated with emerging cloud technologies and proactively integrate best practices into workflows. Ensure compliance with cloud security, cost optimization, and performance best practices across all projects. Engage with clients, particularly in the life sciences domain, to understand and address their specific computational challenges. Required Qualifications: 10+ years of experience in cloud computing, with a strong focus on AWS. Proven expertise in designing and deploying high-performance computing (HPC) solutions in cloud environments. Extensive hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, ECS, RDS, networking solutions). Strong background in HPC cluster management and performance optimization. Experience in automating cloud infrastructure using Python, Bash, and IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation). Deep understanding of cloud security best practices and experience with security and compliance management. Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills. Strong leadership abilities with experience in mentoring and guiding technical teams. Preferred Qualifications: Exposure to life sciences applications, such as computational biology, bioinformatics, or medical research. Experience with scientific computing tools (MATLAB, R, Python, HPC job schedulers). Advanced knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and their cloud deployment.
