The ideal candidate should have a strong command of language, impeccable editing skills, and a keen eye for detail. You will be responsible for reviewing, editing, and optimizing content to ensure clarity, accuracy, engagement, and adherence to brand guidelines. Key Responsibilities: Content Review & Editing: Edit, proofread, and refine content across various formats, including blogs, website pages, articles, whitepapers, social media, and marketing materials. Ensure content aligns with the brands tone, voice, and style guidelines. Correct grammatical, typographical, and factual errors to maintain high editorial standards. Improve readability, coherence, and storytelling to enhance audience engagement. Content Strategy & Development: Collaborate with content writers, designers, and marketing teams to develop compelling and high-quality content. Maintain and enforce a strong editorial style guide for consistency across all materials. Ensure content is optimized for SEO, readability, and user engagement. Provide feedback to writers to enhance their writing quality and structure. SEO & Performance Optimization: Optimize content for search engines, incorporating keywords and best SEO practices. Work with the digital marketing team to enhance content discoverability and ranking. Analyze content performance using tools like Google Analytics and SEO software (Ahrefs, SEMrush, or equivalent). Content Planning & Research: Conduct thorough research to validate information, facts, and statistics. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor content strategies, and audience preferences. Suggest new content ideas that align with business goals and audience interests. Requirements: 3-6 years of experience in content editing, journalism, publishing, or digital media. Exceptional editing, proofreading, and copywriting skills. Strong understanding of SEO principles, content marketing, and user engagement strategies. Proficiency in CMS platforms (WordPress, etc.), editing tools (Grammarly, Hemingway), and SEO tools (SEMrush, Ahrefs, Google Analytics). Ability to rewrite, restructure, and improve content while maintaining the original message. Strong research skills with an ability to fact-check and validate information. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to provide constructive feedback to writers. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors or Masters degree in English, Journalism, Mass Communication, Law, or a related field. Experience in B2B/B2C content editing and publishing. Knowledge of AP Style, Chicago Manual of Style, or other editorial guidelines. Experience with video script editing, PR content, and multimedia content formats is a plus.
