Role Overview: We are looking for an experienced Manager - Procurement (Civil Materials) to join our dynamic team at Antara Senior Care. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the procurement of civil and mechanical materials for our senior care home projects, ensuring quality, cost efficiency, and timely delivery of all required materials for construction. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8 years of experience in civil procurement within the real estate, hospitality, healthcare, or retail sectors. This role requires extensive vendor network management, particularly in Delhi NCR and South India. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage the procurement of civil materials (including mechanical materials) for new construction projects of Antara Senior Care homes and transition care centres. Establish and maintain relationships with key vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure a competitive and sustainable supply chain for construction materials, with a strong emphasis on quality and cost efficiency. Oversee procurement processes from identifying material needs to final procurement and delivery. Negotiate prices, terms, and contracts with suppliers to maximize value while maintaining high standards of quality. Maintain strong knowledge of civil engineering and mechanical procurement practices for large-scale construction projects. Ensure timely and effective delivery of materials in accordance with project timelines. Conduct regular market research to identify new vendors, materials, and technologies to enhance construction processes and product quality. Monitor and report procurement activities, materials status, and potential risks to the senior management team. Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements for procurement activities. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (construction, engineering, and project management) to align procurement strategies with project needs and timelines. Key Requirements: Minimum 8 years of experience in procurement of civil and mechanical materials for Retro-fit projects in real estate, hospitality, healthcare, or retail sectors. Strong vendor network, especially in Delhi NCR and South India, with established relationships for timely procurement of materials. Comprehensive knowledge of the civil construction materials market, including mechanical components for construction projects. Proven ability to negotiate contracts and manage procurement processes effectively. Experience managing the procurement lifecycle for multiple large-scale projects simultaneously. Strong understanding of procurement best practices and project delivery processes. Ability to work independently as well as in collaboration with cross-functional teams. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with suppliers, stakeholders, and internal teams. A results-oriented, problem-solving mindset with a focus on delivering quality outcomes within deadlines and budgets. Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards in the construction and procurement sectors. Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil/Mechanical) or related field preferred. Desired Skills: Strong understanding of the real estate and construction industries in India, particularly in senior care homes. Ability to analyze and interpret project plans and specifications for procurement needs. Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office tools.
