- Role Summary: He will be responsible for overseeing the operational aspects of our company's logistics, supply chain, and distribution functions. This role involves planning, coordinating, and monitoring efficient transportation, storage, and distribution of goods and products, ensuring cost-effectiveness, and optimizing supply chain operations to meet customer demands. This also includes finding innovative solutions to logistics challenges. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Planning: Develop and implement logistics strategies aligned with the organizations overall goals. Forecast logistics needs based on production schedules, market demands, and inventory requirements. Drive innovation and optimization initiatives to enhance logistics efficiency. Operations Management: Oversee transportation, warehousing, and distribution activities. Ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products to customers. Manage contracts and relationships with logistics service providers. Negotiate production of kits and other products. Supply Chain Optimization: Design and optimize supply chain processes to minimize costs and improve service levels. Implement technology solutions to streamline operations. Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with procurement to prevent stockouts or overstock. Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of logistics and supply chain professionals located globally. Build a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Conduct performance evaluations and identify training opportunities. Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with local and international regulations, including customs, trade, and transportation laws. Develop risk management strategies for logistics operations. Monitor safety protocols and environmental regulations. Performance Monitoring: Set and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for logistics functions, such as delivery times, freight costs, and inventory accuracy. Work with the technology division to create logistics dashboards. Analyze data to identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies and implement corrective measures. Prepare reports for senior management on logistics performance and improvement plans. Budget Management: Develop and manage the logistics department's budget. Negotiate rates and contracts with logistics service providers. Monitor costs to ensure alignment with financial goals. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. 8+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or operations, with at least 2 years in a leadership role. Excellent problem-solving, negotiation, and decision-making skills. Strong understanding of logistics and supply chain principles, including inventory management, transportation, and warehouse operations. Proficiency in logistics management systems (LMS), enterprise resource planning (ERP) software, and data analytics tools. Proven track record of managing large-scale logistics operations, preferably in a global or regional context. Strong leadership and communication abilities, with the capacity to inspire and guide teams. Key Competencies: Customer-focused approach to service delivery. Strategic thinking and planning.
