Job Description
- A company is looking for a Chief Nursing Services. Role & Responsibilities Operational To plan and ensure nursing service round the clock according to the need, providing total coverage to the hospital. To develop and communicate escalation matrix indicating lines of communication within the nursing service. To conduct periodic reviews & implementation of the Nurse staffing plan of nurses in coordination with General Manager-Nursing Services, Chief of Medical Services & the Unit Head. To arrange for special nursing squads at the time of emergencies. To represent nursing department in various committees and face the quality accreditation audits like NABH, etc. To continue to keep abreast of new technological development in the nursing/health field and improve professional/ clinical information. To propose improvement of patients care services to Chief of Medical Services and General Manager-Nursing Services in line with latest development in the field of nursing. To direct and evaluate nursing care plans for patients and implement nursing services through analysis of data and reports. To consult with physicians in the development of new techniques and procedures with knowledge of Chief of Medical Services. To review health assessment procedures and on-going care documentation and evaluate activities to ensure consistency with practice manuals. To ensure optimum use of Manpower resource, staffing levels are safe, appropriate and with the necessary skill mix on each shift. To ensure patients rights, responsibilities and education are being taken care of by the staffassigned. To ensure and enforce hospital infection control standards. To ensure highest standards of ethical medical practices in the hospital. To carry out any other work assigned by the management. Customer Related Prepares and reviews all protocols of nursing staff interaction with Patients/customers. Routinely interacts with patients and accordingly ensures a pro-active patient interaction and feedback system. Finance Related To prepare annual nursing budget in coordination with the General Manager-Nursing Services & Unit General Manager for the unit. To ensure appropriate use of resources of material, equipment and manpower. Frequent audits to supervise efficient usage. To supervise and control captive consumption. Administration Related To ensure discipline and practice of ethics among the nurses is in place and initiate disciplinary action as and when required. To recruit and appoint nursing staff in coordination with the HR department. To ensure adherence to the Employee Life Cycle activities like confirmation, promotions, appraisals etc. in coordination with the HR department. To evaluate the work performance of all personnel who report to the position. To ensure career development and succession planning for team members. To attend department meetings as and when conducted and actively participate in audits. To ensure the grooming of team members is as per standards of the organization and routine checks conducted. To be responsible for hiring, promotions, increments, discipline related actions for the team. #OTHER #OTHER,
