Job Description

    Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Account Manager to join our growing sales team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in managing and growing key accounts within the food industry, specifically with pulses. This role will be responsible for developing and executing account strategies, building strong relationships with key decision-makers, and achieving sales targets. Responsibilities: Manage and grow existing key accounts within the pulse segment of the food industry. Develop and implement strategic account plans to achieve sales targets and maximize revenue. Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at all levels within customer organizations (procurement, R&D, quality control, etc.). Identify and develop new business opportunities within existing accounts and through prospecting for new clients. Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends and opportunities. Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, supply chain, product development) to ensure customer needs are met. Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements. Prepare and present sales presentations and proposals. Provide accurate sales forecasts and reports. Attend industry events and trade shows to network and promote the company's products. Stay up-to-date on industry trends, product knowledge, and competitive landscape, specifically within the pulse market. Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues effectively. Ensure compliance with all relevant food safety and regulatory requirements. Utilize and maintain accurate records within the company's ERP system (e.g., Tally Prime, SAP). Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Food Science, or a related field preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience in account management within the food industry, with a strong focus on pulses. Proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing key accounts. Strong understanding of the pulse market, including product knowledge, applications, and industry trends. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers. Strong negotiation and closing skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in CRM software and Google Workspace. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Willingness to travel as needed. Proficiency in using ERP software such as Tally Prime or SAP, particularly for sales order processing, inventory management, and reporting. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with international clients. Knowledge of food safety regulations and quality control standards. Experience in product development or marketing within the pulse industry. Experience integrating CRM systems with ERP systems.
